Malcolm was born and raised in Helena, Montana, where he currently practices and lives with his family. After receiving a bachelors of science in biology from Seattle University, Malcolm moved home to plant roots, hunt, bike, ski, and paddle through the mountains where he was raised. Prior to his legal career, Malcolm spent the warmer months guiding fly fishing on the Smith and Blackfoot Rivers.
Malcolm received his J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law in 2023. During his tenure there, he worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Public Land and Resources Law Review and interned for Earthjustice. He received scholarships from the Wyss Foundation and the North Fork Preservation Association for his commitment to public interest law.
Prior to joining McGarvey Law in 2024, Malcolm spent a year clerking for the Honorable Chief Justice Mike McGrath at the Montana Supreme Court. In his role with McGarvey, Malcolm now helps to litigate Libby Asbestos and mesothelioma cases and ensure the best possible outcome for McGarvey’s thousands of clients.
